How to Use Screening Shorts

Screening Shorts is easy to explore and use. If you are logged in, you can browse, search, view, analyse and discuss a range of film clips stored in our database. Each film comes with clip details and stimulating activity ideas for use in the classroom, all developed by school teachers and screen educators. You will find guides and tutorials to different aspects of screen education, alongside worksheets, PowerPoint presentations and other resources that can be used immediately in your classroom.

When logged in, students can

  • Browse all films on the site and search by keyword
  • Watch the films
  • Download films to make their own creative work with a new soundtrack
  • Create their own films or moving image essays
  • Use the films as a starter introduction to a new topic
  • Explore the questions and activities independently to deepen their learning
  • Learn more about Screen Education

When logged in, teachers can
