One Day a Man Bought a House (1998)

A man buys a house on a hill and discovers that his new property is already home to a large rat. Each of his attempts to dispose of her is a comedic failure. In the meantime, the rat becomes increasingly convinced that his efforts to kill her are in fact efforts to woo her. By the end of the film he has unwittingly won her heart and she confronts him with her feelings. To our surprise he marries her and they live happily ever after.
